Wayne national forest is home to some of the best hunting for all games species in the state of Ohio. With over a quarter of a million acres the woods are loaded with White Tail Deer, Small Game and Turkey. Several of our cabins boarded Wayne National Forest or are within walking distance, with over 1000 acres of land to hunt alone. When you step into the woods at one of our cabins location, you truly could get lost in the beauty and the heart of the forest. The over populated deer population located all around our cabins surely up your chances of scoring a monster buck.
If fishing is your passion our cabins will make your arms sore with all the bass you can real in. Several of our cabins sit on properties with pounds stocked with bass or border of the state lakes loaded with fish. Sand Run Lake Is a secluded little lake in Wayne National Forest often overlooked by visitors and adjoins our property. Six shady picnic sites offer a relaxing atmosphere for family gatherings. This peaceful lake is surrounded by stately pine trees and is very scenic. Just a short trip down the road are many other lakes. Lake Hope is 18,200-acre Lake that allows electric motor boating, with canoes and rowboat available for rent. Anglers will find good catches of bluegill, catfish, crappie and largemouth bass at Lake Hope. A fine swimming beach is located near the dam. Facilities include a bathhouse with restrooms, showers and change booths and a concession building where food and beverages can be purchased.

Our cabins are conveniently located to Ohio University and Hocking College which makes our cabins a perfect family vacation destination for parents needing to spend time with their sons or daughters attending school. Our cabins book fast for freshman summer orientation, mom's weekend, mother's weekend, dad's weekend, father's weekend, sibs weekend, graduation, commencement, alumni and parents weekend. Athens Halloween weekend is also worth attending if you want a Mardi Gras experience.
Our cabins offer the perfect location if you are an off-road ATV/ Motorcycle enthusiast. Our cabins are located very close to some of the best riding trials in the country. The Wayne National Forest trial system offers some of the most fun and challenging trails. The there are many different trail experiences levels. If you are novice to expert rider there is something for you. Our Sand run Lake resort is located less than 1/2 mile away from 2 trail heads. Monday Creek ATV/OHM Trail System located in Nelsonville, provides approximately 75 miles of designated trails to off-road vehicle riders. Just a short trip down the road and you can find yourself at several other trail system.
Hanging Rock ATV/OHM Trail System
The Hanging Rock area of the Wayne National Forest also provides some of the best riding all-terrain in all the country vehicles (ATVs) and off highway motorcycles (OHMs). This 5,000-acre area has 24 miles of trail available for off-road vehicle.
Pine Creek ATV/OHM Trail System
The Pine Creek area of the Wayne National Forest provides some excellent opportunities for riding all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and off-highway motorcycles (OHMs). This trail system provides approximately 17 miles of trails for off-road vehicle.
Riders must obtain a permit to ride ALL the trials.
Trail Permits required for ATV or mountain bike riders. At rail permit is $12/day, $24/3-days, or $45/season

Located only 10 miles from Hocking Hills in Nelsonville, Ohio. Running trips on weekends and weekdays. Located at the northern end of Nelsonville, just off the bypass and next to the roundabout. Canoe and kayak rentals will be available on a first come-first serve basis. We will be offering reservations with deposit for large groups or organizations.
Offering visitors to the Hocking Hills a chance to discover the scenic beauty of the region from the unique vantage point inside a canoe, kayak or raft.
The Hocking Valley Scenic Railway has been a staple in the Hocking Hills since 1972. It is a nonprofit railroad committed to educating the public about historic railroad equipment. Take a ride through the hills on one of their open-air cars or 1930s commuter coaches
Ziplining and canopy tours are a great way to experience the Hocking Hills! Zip over trees, cliffs, and the river, or take a three-hour canopy tour across several ziplines and sky bridges. This a fun and unique way for older nature-loving kids to learn about the area.
